If you have difficulty knowing what to say or what to do when somebody raises their voice or acts aggressively toward you or others, you are not alone. It makes everyone uncomfortable, and it can cause one to get defensive, and many times the outcome is not a positive one. In my studies, I became aware of a methodology called “Non-Violent Communication” (NVC), and I am just simply fascinated by it!
If you want some basic know-how or strategies to help you communicate more peacefully and effectively with others, you can’t miss this interview!
I was so excited to have a certified NVC trainer, Peggy Smith, join me on Positively Empowered Radio!
Peggy is certified as a trainer by the Center For Nonviolent Communication (www.cnvc.org). She has been sharing NVC for over six years. Peggy taught school for 32 years so she brings her extensive teaching skills, humor and presence to this work.
Peggy has studied with Marshall Rosenberg (founder of NVC) and other internationally recognized teachers. Peggy has also studied with Zen teacher and social activist, Thich Nhat Hanh and is a member of his Order of Interbeing. She is passionate about compassionate, authentic communication as an essential part of sustainability in families, workplaces and communities.
I am confident that you will learn something valuable from our talk, so please listen in!
